Responsibilities

• The Construction Project Manager will be responsible to work with the company Engineering & Construction Group to ensure full compliance with all aspects of the organization Construction Life Cycle Process and the Engineering & Construction Standard
• The Construction Project Manager reports to the Geomarket/Country Manager
• Planning, directing, coordinating, and controlling budget in coordination with Field Operations stakeholders and supporting functions (Finance, Procurement, Legal), for all the related activities of the construction of structures, facilities, and systems.
• In conjunction with the Area/GM Facilities Manager, the project manager will be responsible to assist in the direct acquisition of land for construction projects.
• Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods.
• Assist in the preparation and process of the project’s Capital Acquisition Request (CAR).
• Provide input into the initial project design and scope and coordinates changes, as necessary, prior to finalizing a CAR.
• Evaluate construction methods and determines cost-effectiveness of plans.
• Schedule the project in logical steps and allocate time required to meet deadlines.
• Prepare and submit budget estimates and progress and cost tracking reports.
• Coordinate the obtaining of all the necessary permits and licenses.
• Participating in contractor qualification process, and prepare and validate the qualification matrix for tendering process.
• Communicating directly with contractors/designers and the Global Engineering and Construction Team concerning project design, cost, staffing and scheduling.
• Producing all the related fundamental engineering support tasks such as: updating computer lists, filing prints, distributing drawings, making simple calculations, proofreading reports, compiling Bills of Material, etc.
• Preparing the project execution plan (PEP), Project Management Plan (PMP), and all the documents required to manage the project as per Project Management Institute (PMI) requirements.
• Producing project status reports and ensuring adherence to contract specifications.
• Taking responsibility for meeting the schedule, cost and quality of the project and ensuring that deviations from project plan are properly documented and approved and its related impact analyzed and advise management on the best course of action to keep the project triple constraint (time, cost and quality) under control.
• Developing and implementing quality control programs.
• Requisition supplies and materials to complete construction projects as needed.
• Inspecting and reviewing the project to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations (in conjunction with third party technical advisory firm).
• In conjunction with GeoMarket Procurement and Contract Manager and Legal, the project manager should help in preparing contracts and reviewing revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
• At the construction site the project manager will be responsible for taking actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather or emergencies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or degree in Construction Management
• 8 years work experience with minimum of 3-5 years in construction/project management
• Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures to promote effective protection of people, data, and property
• Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish the assigned work.
• Must have strong ethics in dealings with Suppliers & Contractors
